After agreeing, Mario and his friends take off in Mushroom Starfighters, where they fight against [[Stormtroopa Starfighter]]s in outer space. Mario's group succeeds in defeating the [[Stormtroopa]]s, all while staying alive. Mario then braves a trench indentation along the surface of Koop Star in his Mushroom Starfighter, evading enemy attacks with some help from Toad.
