Following Mario's escape from [[Hotfoot Crater]] with [[Olivia]] and [[Bowser]], they try to enter Peach's Castle, only to find that its front door is locked. Olivia reacts in shock over why she and Mario had not found the key to Peach's Castle yet. At this point, Luigi catches up with them in his hang glider-kart apparatus and apologetically breaks down in front of Mario, claiming that he couldn't find the key despite his best efforts, unaware that it is actually stuck in one of the tailpipes on his kart. Mario must pull the key from the tailpipe. Olivia then remarks to Luigi how he has brought the right key at the right time. With the key to Peach's Castle finally found, Mario, Luigi, Olivia, and Bowser use it to unlock the door to the castle.
