GBA remake instead of original?[edit]
Are you sure this is from the original Super Mario Bros. 3? Because, I've read that it's based off the Japanese box-art, but the Mario in the Japanese box matches the Raccoon Mario on the official Western box.
In the Japanese art, he has the overall button detail, his lip has a pronounced edge, the highlight is more visible, circular eye eyelights, different-shaped M insignia, and the shading for his fingers are bluish rather than gray. Whereas, this Mario in the current upload does match the GBA remake variant of it, which has a smoother lip, gray shading, lacks button detail, different-shaped M insignia, and has more elliptical eye highlights.
Not to mention, this fan-made art said that the Mario design there was taken from the GBA remake.

- Seeing how this wallpaper for Super Mario Advance 4 almost completely matches the image, I think it's safe to say that this image is from Super Mario Advance 4 rather than Super Mario Bros. 3. RHG1951 (talk) 11:02, March 21, 2021 (EDT)
