At the very least, if you're only going to include the first half of this quote, adding an ellipses before the close quotations would be helpful… because people keep using this incomplete quote as "evidence" that Nintendo forced him out and that this was all some grand conspiracy behind the scenes. undo

Nintendo have all sorts of archived clips of his voice, meaning Charles really only went into the recording studio once every few years to record new lines. Beta versions of Super Mario Galaxy from E3 2006 also contained archived clips from Super Mario Sunshine, as Charles hadn't recorded his Galaxy-specific lines yet. Including a beta version of a game is silly… as these were likely placeholders. undo Tag: Manual revert

The development for Mario Wonder started right after New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe released which was early 2019, and Charles's last game was Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope in late 2022. So im pretty sure he was in the beta, we did see a beta of Mario Wonder but it was only 2 videos and many screenshots. undo Tag: Mobile edit

He said he WANTS to voices forever, but is also acknowledging that there may come a day where won't be able to anymore. These out of context Charles quotes only serve to paint a narrative that he was "fired." He wasn't. There is absolutely no evidence for that. This does not need to be here. undo
